Three priorities were set in the f8 Facebook for developers 2014 conference that was held in San Francisco: To provide stability to the platform from the developers’ point of view, an increased control in order to share information through the application from the users’ point of view and the creation of tools and services between platforms that help the development of mobile devices.
Over a dozen products for developers were discussed in f8 2014 but there are two of them that stand out as the most important regarding Facebook contests and promotions:
- Anonymous Login and update to sign in with Facebook account.
- The review of new applications in order to provide stability to developers and more control to users.
Anonymous Login and update of Facebook Login
The Anonymous Login will be a new Facebook feature to sign in the applications without sharing any personal data on Facebook. This way, once we have checked the application’s functionality, the user can decide whether sharing or not this information with the application.
Moreover, the update of Facebook Login, which will be available in a few weeks, allows users to choose which information will be disclosed to the application by checking the categories they prefer.

Created to make the user feel safe when sharing information, the application dashboard has been redesigned. Facebook users will be able to view and manage the applications they use.

We have already posted an article about the second most important f8 2014’s feature, the review of new applications, so you know what you need to do when creating your promotions in Cool Tabs in white label and you want to publish then without long waiting times.
