Now with Page Performance for Instagram you can analyse the Geotags that you need to, that is, the places that have been added as the location for Instagram publications. The places or locations need to have been previously created on Facebook, so, if you need your business to appear as a location on Instagram, there is more information here.
How to analyse a Geotag
Once you are logged into Cool Tabs, you need to go to your monitoring section where you will see that one of the options listed under “Analyse a new profile” is “Instagram Geotag“.
Once you have chosen the Geotag option, you can enter the location that you’re interested in by typing the address or name. For example, if we search for “Big Ben”, we can see that at there are multiple locations or geotags to analyse, meaning that we can analyse the geotag labelled “Big Ben” or another that we are interested in the area.
If we zoom in on the map, we can see the geotags better. For example, in the case of “Big Ben”, we find the location “The day I died”, and we can preview what has been published on Instagram with that geotag.
Also, if we move around the map to other areas close to Big Ben, other geotags in the area will load. For example, if we move towards the river, locations in that area will begin to load.
And if we are looking for something specific in the new area that we are interested we can use filters. For example, we can type “harry” to try to find the geotags associated with Harry Potter.
Once a specific geotag is chosen, just click on “Choose” on the map. Then, a button showing “Analyse geotag X” appears, which needs to be clicked to start to the monitoring.
